Philip Shwom is the president and majority shareholder of Schacker Real Estate Corp., which is based in Melville. Widely recognized as one of the leading industrial real estate brokers on Long Island, Shwom employs a holistic approach to client representation.
When working as a buyer/tenant representative, he obtains a thorough understanding of the client’s operations in addition to the client’s real estate requirements, utilizing his years of experience and contacts to provide fiduciary services that do not end with finding and securing space. These services include procuring zoning entitlements, A&E and construction specifications and bidding, financial analysis, assisting legal counsel and procuring economic incentives.
When representing the landlord/seller, Shwom creates and manages a comprehensive marketing program and provides credit analysis and an understanding of the market. He works with legal counsel and provides assistance in identifying and resolving any issues that may delay or derail a transaction.
In 2025, Shwom received the Most Ingenious Deal of the Year Award from the Association for a Better Long Island and the Commercial Industrial Brokers Society of Long Island. In 2024, he was recognized by LIBN as the Top Commercial Broker.
Shwom is a member of the Society of Industrial and Office Realtors. A graduate of Emory University, he completed graduate work at New York University in obtaining his CCIM (certified commercial investment member) designation.
